Coexistence of Integrative Medicine beyond Natural Healing
Park Tae-Soo

Abstract
In order to keep our lives safe from overtly excessive desires and obsession over material things that hedge up spiritual growth, one needs to awaken himself/herself to break out of the old ways of thinking and getting things done. The purpose of this thesis is to bring peace through meditation by keeping one¡¯s mind stay at the present moment, as human minds essentially have the traits of nature. This thesis inquires to develop a healing power for our mind and body, with the energy of nature, through an integrative access to Vipassana meditation and Kriya Yoga. The natural healing power factor of Vipassana meditation and Kriya Yoga (1) protects the mind without a stir; (2) halts unnecessary thoughts by seeing the object as the way it is; (3) brings about dis-identification of the object by strengthening oneself as an observer; (4) brings peace to one¡¯s life by laying down the ego. In order to further enhance the therapeutic power, one has to facilitate and cultivate (1) the intrinsic understanding on ¡¯human being¡¯; (2) the practice of group meditation; (3) the increased capacity of self-awareness through steady meditation. Natural healing consequently has the attributes of nature, and yet, transcends beyond the nature.
